I develop websites using Textpattern & all-grid (my template of Textpattern code & css styling libraries).

I’m constantly tweaking the theme to better reflect client needs, rolling in improvements & new functionality so my next project is easier/faster to develop.

I needed a website to thoroughly test the functionality of all-grid, and to see if it is flexible enough to cope with whatever I throw at it.

Wairarapa DIY is the result.

I’m an architect who enjoys making things.

The refurbishment of the property we bought in 2015 gave me an opportunity to realise some of the ideas I’ve had kicking round since I left the profession — and flex my (admittedly limited) construction skills.

Voracious local business practices, a tight budget, and sustainability favoured a practical diy approach.
