Exposed fixings, Porch

Ease of construction was another factor. I opted for exposed mechanical fixings, typically galvanised hex bolts or flat-head screws.

Lumberyard markings, Studio

Aluminium frame, Engine Room

Where possible, make it yourself from what’s available. Offcuts are precious and find their way into productive use, no matter how small.

The trick is in storing (& locating them when they are needed).
